Actually this should be more of an Over-Read. I found myself in a consultant's office last week, and saw this sign:
"Disposable slippers are available upon request. Please inform the receptionist should you require one."

Maybe they're consultants for whalers. Or pirates. "Arrrgh, a soft slipper be mighty welcome on land!"
